If you don’t live under the rock then there is a high chance that you are aware of the VPN or Virtual Private Network, as it is a kind of network that uses public telecommunication infrastructure, the internet and makes into a private network for the users. VPN connection can be used in almost every device where internet is accessible that includes, computers, laptops, Macs, smartphones, tablets and even some of the latest TV sets. When talk about internet connectivity in China, VPN is considered as lifeline.

Internet Restrictions in China:

Well, if you are currently living in China, then you are perfectly aware of all the protective firewalls that restrict users to accessing many of the important websites they want to access. We cannot deny that China is one of those countries which are rich in history and one of the largest countries in the world. So, if you live in China then you will need to bypass censorship using VPN service. Well, you will need to bypass all those extra protective firewalls then you will need to require the best VPN in China. People living in China are facing very rigorous internet censorship policies just like many other similar nations like Iran, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Singapore. If you are planning to travel to China, then you should know that many important websites are blocked in countries including many major social networking sites as well.

Firewall Does not Let You Get What You Want!

Internet users in China use a lot of alternative ways to bypass internet censorship that include proxy servers, IP hiding services and other similar tools. Well, all these tools offer limited services and those services are interruptible as well as unreliable. In addition to that, in the current times, whatever information you try to send or receive using a Chinese IP address, it will be easily tracked right back to you. Normally, if you try to access a blocked website without any extra tool, the firewall will add you to the illegal list and it will turn your requests down.

VPN Will Help You Overcome Internet Restrictions in China:

So, the one and only way to bypass all those strict firewalls in China is by getting a VPN connection. Well, with the help of a VPN connection you will be getting a new IP address from another country of your choice. This VPN connection will encrypt all your internet data and directs it to one or more address and then starts up presently there. In that way you will be able to access any web page you want to. There are many people living China who have switched to VPN not only to bypass internet censorship in China, but people living in many other countries like UAE, Thailand and Singapore where similar internet censorship laws are imposed.

How To Check If a Website is Blocked in China?

If you are working from another location and you are planning to launch a website, first you will need to discover which websites are blocked in the country. You can log on to right now which is a very incredible site. All you need to do is just type in the web address that you want to check, whether it works in China or not, and then the website will show real time results about that website being accessible in different parts of the country.

Why is a Paid VPN Service Recommended?

There are some free of charge VPN services available but you have to keep in mind that there is no such thing as a free lunch. Those services will allow you to bypass internet censorship but numerous people log on to that service in single time that makes it slow and sluggish and that is why such services don’t work properly and are not reliable enough either. You can search for a free VPN or Proxy services right now at any search engine but you will find that comments below them are probably a year or months old and the service is actually shut down and the hyperlinks have been expired for a long time. So, we suggest users to get a paid VPN service that will not charge much but it will be able to provide you with higher speed, security and stability.

VPN Protocols in China:

In China, government has blocked PPTP and L2TP protocols and it means that many mobile devices that work with only these protocols will not be able to work in the country. Currently, there are some ways through which you can get SSL and OpenVPN protocols to work on your iPad, iPhone or Android devices for VPN connection, but it will require heavy modification as well.

If you want to enjoy VPN services in China, then you would have to make sure that your mobile device, laptop or computer is capable of working on SSL VPN protocol.

How a New IP Address VPN Will Help You?

China has imposed all these restrictions and censorship laws on their citizens because they want to protect their culture from the new age of information technology. But if you are travelling to China or you are a Chinese citizen and you want to have unlimited access to the online world, you can get a VPN connection right now. With the help of a VPN connection, Chinese authorities as well as ISPs will not be able to monitor or track your internet activity and you can easily access any website you want any time of the day. Of course you will be getting a new IP address and you can choose an IP address from anywhere around the world, while most preferred locations are the US and the UK where streaming websites are very popular nowadays. So, you can access all those websites including Hulu, Netflix, 4oD, BBC iPlayer, Pandora and many others with the help of a VPN service while sitting in China.

Liked strong VPN the most after a few trial with others. I need VPN in both my laptop and iPhone 4, and Strong VPN did a great job in both of them. Manually or automated software, its my wish which one I want to choose. Speed is quite impressive. Though there is a little lag and it is OK, no VPN can give the 100% speed of your internet connection as it connects via distant servers. But Strong VPN connects you to the closest servers or the servers with minimum users at any given time. So you get satisfying speed. Customer care helped me solving many issues many times. So from my view customer care is good too. Very easy to install or setup. And totally safe. I would rate their speed as a 4 out of 5, customer support 5 out of 5, usability 5 out of 5 and safety 5 out of 5.

I kind of seems unbelievable to me that all those websites are not always in our country. We have gone so far in every aspect of life, and this website restriction in our country……..just do not go with each other. However, I use Hide My Ass for all my needs. Using a proxy IP address serves many purposes for me. Hide My Ass is really good. I never had any problem with the speed. Though a little bit lag is seen, VPN services are not supposed to be as fast as the usual speed we get through local servers anyway. A few problems I had over the years and the customer care really supported me well in those. I think I am going to stick to Hide My Ass for a long time. Take care everyone.

I went to China last June for a deal to make with a Chinese manufacturer and blimey! So many websites and services are blocked there! Facebook, You Tube, Twitter- no access there. Most of the Google services are also blocked. They do not even allow Gmail at times. Can you believe that? I was so disgusted and when no one could help, a guy in the Chinese company told me about Hide My Ass VPN service and showed me how I could buy their service. It was such a relief! Since I will be visiting China a few times this year and probably next year, I have managed myself an annual VPN service package from Hide My Ass. I can use this service to access many other countries websites too by hiding my own IP. This is just amazing!
