by Adam Gill

The MAC OS X 10.5 Leopard uses a different operating system and requires a different set up procedure than most other operating software. In order to make a VPN connection, you will need to follow a few different steps to ensure your protocol, whether PPTP or L2TP, is properly used when you go on the Internet from this device.

Not all VPN services can connect to a MAC OS X 10.5 Leopard, but the ones that do allow a connection between this device and its server, you need to follow these easy set up guidelines.

  • Select +, which will be red
  • A different window will appear
  • Select Interface
  • After the new menu comes up, pick VPN
  • Change the type of VPN to PPTP VPN
  • Enter a Service Name, such as your VPN provider
  • Select Create
  • Enter VPN information. Information such as IP address, User Name and Password
